so, you wanna use my music in something you’re working on, whether it’s a film, a video game, or some kind of internet video---or perhaps you’re looking to remix something i’ve made! whatever it is, here are some ground rules.
most of my music, preceding “memories”, has been published under the CC BY-SA Creative Commons license.
this means that you are free to expand upon and use your expanded work or even the original audio in any medium you wish, even commercially, the only caveat being that you must credit me for your use of the audio, and you can not deviate the license of your own expanded upon variation of my work.
i chose this to be the case, almost entirely because of the fact that all of my pre-memories work has been made available to download free of charge, and i wanted to respect that freedom in the licensing.
on the other hand, all of my music released for and after “memories”, will be published under the CC BY-NC-SA Creative Commons license.
the only difference between this license and the previous one, is that you cannot use my work commercially without directly contacting me about how you would be using it.
the reason for this difference is that my album, “memories”, costs money, as will all of the subsequent music i release.
this pretty much boils down to, you’re free to do whatever you want with my music! just please, credit me, and please please please contact me before using my work in anything commercial, unless it came out before “memories”.
although, even if you do use an old piece of music, it would be cool to know how you’re using it! so let me know anyway if you can ~ ! 💕
